So Very Thankful

“A thankful heart is the greatest virtue” - Cicero

I am fairly spontaneous by nature.  Typically, I make quick decisions and jump in with both feet, darn the consequences. On the other hand, my wife Christy is a researcher.  She is measured, takes her time, considers feedback and then makes the best decision possible.  There have been numerous occasions when her way has paid off big-time.

Several years ago we were in Cabo on vacation and after researching restaurants Christy found what at the time was a hidden gem called Flora Farms (it is now wildly popular and every time we have recommended it, people say it is their new favorite - go check it out if you are there).  Flora Farms is an indoor/outdoor environment where all of the ingredients for their delicious food is procured onsite with the exception of seafood which is brought in locally.  From their fresh produce, to their amazing bakery and homemade pastas, it is amazing.  When we first walked into this magical environment, we were greeted with a chalkboard message that is seared into my daily consciousness:
“A thankful heart is the greatest virtue” - Cicero

I tend to be a thankful person by nature.  I am acutely aware of how fortunate I am to come from loving parents that have always put their kids first.  I was raised in a home that was loving, supportive and inspired me and my brothers and sisters to maximize our potential. I was exposed to different cultures and points of view by traveling to most of the states in our nation.  Our home was free of bigotry, hate and intolerance.  We always were safe, had amazing food and a beautiful home.  It was always expected that I be considerate and thoughtful of other’s needs and to lead with a servant heart.  We had dinner around the table as a family.  As an adult, I am keenly aware of what a gift that was as that is not everyone’s experience.

I am mindful of my childhood as these experiences play an integral role in the heart of Verona Villa.  We love everybody and we aspire to be a place where all feel welcome to Gather as family, friends, team members and clients; Celebrate life’s important moments, friendships and achievements; and Inspire each other to love deeper and dream bigger.  Our team is committed to providing our expertise to provide customized and personalized experiences to all that walk through our doors.

With Thanksgiving upon us, I am especially thankful for the incredible clients that have chosen us to be part of their events; our vendor partners who share their art, talent and passion for delivering excellence; our supportive and awesome community we are fortunate to call home; and also our VV Team that pours their heart into everything they do day in and day out.  I am also extra thankful for the love and support of the absolute best family and friends a person could ever wish for.

From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!
